Stan Kinstlinger
Stan Kinstlinger
Stan, Tour Guide, was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio where after 30 years of extensive research, it was conclusively determined that there were no palm trees on the shores of Lake Erie. After similar research in Atlanta, Georgia, he discovered that while peach trees are very nice, they are no substitute for palm trees. After a stint in south Florida, where he finally found his beloved palm trees, he ended up in Key West. Upon his joyous arrival, he was hit in the head with a coconut, died, went to heaven and is currently giving tours at the Hemingway Home and Museum on Whitehead St.

While you have the option of taking a guided tour of the museum or exploring the attraction on your own in a self-guided tour mode, we recommend taking the guided tour when visiting the Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum in Key West.

Guided tours are conducted about every 15 minutes from 9-5 daily, take about 30 minutes and though the tour will inform you of the overall life and times of Ernest Hemingway, the tours will mostly focus on the years Hemingway lived here in this house in Key West. Key artifacts, paintings, furnishings and architectural details will be identified on the guided tour.

With dozens of historic attractions in Key West you’ll find that this island prides itself in offering real tour guides that can respond to your questions and provide detailed information tailored to your interests.
